My mum was recovering well from this treatment until march 2017 when she became ill again. After countless trips to the hospital and several tests she was diagnosed with stage 3B lung cancer. Again, the doctors advised an intense dose of radiotherapy was required but were clear in saying this wouldn't cure the cancer and that it was terminal. My mum again took the doctors advice although they said this treatment would at best prolong her life expectancy. After advice from friends and family and hours of research it became clear that their was alternative treatment methods available but these are extremely expensive. My mum and dad used what savings they had and went ahead with one of these methods. In July 2017 she had a follow up scan which showed the cancer had infact shrunk. Clearly this treatment is helping but the cost is impossible for us to keep up with. I am going to be doing a sky dive along with 3 of my friends (Mikey, Jamie and Jack) from 15,000 feet on the 30th of September 2017. We would all be extremely greatful to any friends, family or anybody who reads this that would make a donation no matter how big or small towards the treatment that is giving my mum another chance at beating this horrible disease.
Thankyou for taking your time to read this.
