Lynne's Eye Surgery

Lynne has battled Ocular Histoplasmosis (a serious eye disease) for the last twenty years.  This condition has left her legally visually impaired. Lynne has lost all central vision in her right eye.  Since her diagnosis, Lynne has endured several procedures to assist in salvaging her worsening eyesight.  Although Lynne has been well supported in her job and by her family, she recently learned that her "good eye" has become so severe that the doctor's are recommending a magnifying implant in hopes of slowing the progressive loss of vision and saving any existing eyesight. 
The goal of this implant surgery is to allow Lynne to continue to work and provide for her family of 5 and further her dedication to the families and students with whom she serves. Unfortunately, medical insurance does not currently cover any of the expense of this needed surgery; in spite of the fact that Lynne has three doctors advising her to have it done. The urgency of this procedure cannot be overlooked as she is in danger of losing her driver's license and the ability to continue to work. Another complication is that Lynne's husband is in the process of transitioning from one job to another and it will take a bit for his first paycheck to arrive. Those of you who know Lynne well, will agree that she is not one to complain about her circumstances. In fact, she is one of the strongest women that I know. The way that she chooses to remain positive and persevere in spite of a rather glum prognosis, is truly inspirational. Lynne is the first in line to help others in need, no questions asked! Lynne's surgery is scheduled for Thursday, February 15th. At that time she will need to pay a substantial portion of the $5,000 that it will cost to have this procedure completed.  Please consider financially supporting this cherished wife, mother, daughter and beloved teacher in her time of need.
