Lynne Garrity - we have reached our goal

On March 3, 2019 Maria Lynne Funk aka Lynne Garrity as most knew her by was found deceased in her home by the police doing a well check after no one could contact Lynne for a week. Sadly, she has no family members to claim her. Aunt Donna has been so distraught everyday since wondering what had happened or where she's going now. After 5 hours on the phone with homocide detective, medical examiner's office and creamation services we have found out that poor Lynne had been listed as a Jane Doe waiting for someone to call in and claim her. Per Donna Sqires,  who was very close to Lynne, I was able to have her correct name listed through the medical examiner's office and now they are waiting on the doctor to sign off on the name change so we can have her moved to the funeral parlor.   This beautiful soul, if not claimed,  will go to " unclaimed remains" and be cremated by the city and go into a vaught with other unclaimed remains. It's so sad to go unclaimed. If we can raise $850.00 Simplicity Cremations will take her and we can have a proper cremation and receive death certificate. Please share this. I know Lynne had many friends who loved her. If we cannot raise all of the money we will return all donations and have no choice but to let her go as unclaimed.  It's unimaginable to have a human being just be tossed into the city's unclaimed department as if she didn't even exist. Please help us get her out and have a proper final resting place.
