I have deleted my previous campaign with the hope that I would not need it anymore. Unfortunately, that is not the case. I had to go on medical leave December 29th due to complications of some new medications. For those not familiar with my journey, I have been fighting Neuroendocrine Pancreatic Cancer since 2008. In 2010 it metastasised to my liver & currently it is also in my spine, right ribs & right hip. I have had a total of 6 surgeries & have been in a clinical trial as well as several other courses of treatment. So far, nothing has shown any improvement. I am now off of chemo in preparation for a new treatment just recently available in the states called PPRT which hopefully will start in March. As I mentioned, I am on medical leave from my job of 30 years. It is 60% of my pay, which after deductions is more like 50%. Any money raised will go to my $5,000.00 annual deductible as well as copays for my many medications, Dr visit copays, my upcoming treatments as well as my many trips to Columbus to see my oncology team at The James Cancer Center. Anything is appreciated. I have had so much support over the years & am very blessed in many ways. I know there is no cure for my cancer; however, if I can buy any extra time to be with my 3 kids, then I will do whatever it takes!!
