Madeline Colatrella

My mother Madeline Colatrella has MS for almost 50 years,a disease that damages the central nervous system. Madeline has not walked in nearly 30 years. Getting around is very difficult, with her husband Jerry there to take care of her, she truly has been blessed to have a wonderful and loving man by her side. Madeleine's outings have diminished to just her Dr's appointments, Jerry can no longer take her from her wheel chair and put her in his car without hurting himself from lifting her or on several occasions have dropped her. The ultimate vehicle would be a pre-owned handicap van. It would make their lives so much easier and worry free of either of them getting hurt from the task of getting Madeline out of her wheelchair and into the car. A pre owned van costs about $35,000-45,000. This would be a dream come true for them both, as this would allow them to do some of the things they have not been able to do in a long time, things we take for granted such as walking out the door and driving where ever we needed to go.
