Lump Removal for Gizmo

I hate to even do this, but I am willing to try absolutely anything for my baby girl. So here I am swallowing my pride and giving it a shot.
My cat Gizmo has been my baby for 13 years. Recently she developed a lump on her chest which is now an open wound and has become infected. I took her for treatment and antibiotics, but the lump must be removed and sent out for pathology. Yes I know she's older, but she has always been healthy and young at heart. I want her last years to be as long and happy as possible and I can't bear to see her like this.
Being recently separated and a single mom there is just no way. When the vet went through options and pricing I knew it was out of the question. If I can't figure something out to get her surgery, I will just have to maintain her wound and change bandage every three days and she will have to remain in a medical shirt and cone until her quality of life begins to degrade. It's exceptionally tough because she is still acting herself and has been eating/drinking, playing up until getting the cone on. :( It would be so much easier if she was suffering as I would just make the hard decision of euthanasia.
Surgery prep of bloodwork and xrays is $600. Provided the lump hasn't metastasized to the lung then removal, medication and pathology is over $2300.
I know it's a longshot with her age, but she is just so miserable now with her shirt and cone and it kills me to see her like this. I don't want to put her down just because I couldn't afford surgery when I know her quality of life could be so much better. I also can't just let her suffer emotionally.
If anyone has the means to donate, I would so appreciate it. Any little bit will help whether it's for bandage changes or if I can raise enough for surgery of course that would be the ultimate goal.
