Luke Gray recovery fund
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Mitchell and I have been friends with Luke my entire life. with his family consent I have decided to make this GoFundMe page for Luke to help aid his recovery from the tragic events that took place on Friday 22nd October on Lymington high street.
Luke is 23 years old and has always lived in Lymington. Before the horrendous attack on himself, max and Georgina last Friday he was fit, healthy and always happy. unfortunately, his best friend max lost his life in the attack. Luke sustained life changing injuries after being stabbed twice in the back and is still battling for his life in hospital as I write this. his right kidney has 3 stents in to try save it, however the kidney still may have to be removed. The tube going down to his bladder was also cut forcing the urine to come out of his back, he has a large bag coming out of his back for the blood and urine. His bowel has also stopped working and they are unsure as to whether or not it will wake up again. He's paralyzed in his right leg because of a fractured vertebrae in his back so will not walk unaided again.
All of this on top of having to watch his best friend be brutally murdered in front of him as he helplessly watched on as he had no feeling in his leg from being stabbed.
He is scared to go to sleep as he has nightmares every time he does, reliving the terrible events that took place. He is on a heavy dose of drugs to keep him alive and every time they try to ease him off them he starts to get worse and he has to go back on them. All at the same time hoping he doesn't get an infection which he might not be able to fight.
Luke's thoughts are with Max and his family at this time which just shows who he really is, whilst fighting for his life he still puts others before him. Any donations made be will go towards life changing rehabilitation and care that Luke is going to need when he eventually comes out of hospital.
There is also a GoFundMe page for Max to help his family.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
