Luke and the Bag of Nails need your help
Hello and welcome to our fundraiser for the Bag of Nails, colloquially known as the cat pub. Thanks for clicking the link and hopefully you can help us out.
Unfortunately the time has come for us to admit that we need a bit of help. Throughout this last year our glorious leader/landlord, Luke, has been fantastic. He's kept us all employed despite uncertainty (this is Andy the assistant manager by the way), he has made sure that when it has been legally possible, folks have been able to get high quality, super sexy, fresh cask and keg beers on draught, including getting out on the bike and bringing the beers to your home (what a weird year this has been haha) and he's done a full refurb' of the pub so it's in tip top condition for when we can finally welcome you back.
My worry is, with mounting debts and in spite of the government grants, the strict distancing restrictions in such a poky little pub and high outgoings of our monstrous cat food bill just might finish us off. This is why I'm asking if you can lend us a hand. I've set the target at £23,000 as this is what we have spent this year taking care of the fluffy little devils (£8,000, I know, it's mental ain't it?) and the rent arears of £15,000 which is where the funds will go initially, followed by supporting the cats through the next year whilst we get back up on our feet.
If you can spare what you would have spent on a visit to the pub, had you been able or even just give this a share we would be so grateful. We are having some branded merchandise made up to show our appreciation to donors with pint glasses, tote bags and T-shirts up for grabs and £100 donations winning you a private "cheese-rain" party with Luke and the cats and a goody bag.
The cats have really missed you all giving them cuddles and playing with them and they can't wait to knock your drink over again. We know you have a lot of love for us and can feel that. Luke, and the rest of us at the Bag just want to get back to giving you that unique experience because we love entertaining you guys. Right I'm getting gushy now, what follows will be some more details on redeeming your prizes.

Obviously it's going to be far easier for us to give away your prizes if you can visit the pub but (within reason) we can mail some bits out to those a little further afield. Let us know any requirements (address, sizes, contact info etc) in the comments here, I'm not 100% how this website thing works yet to be honest but I'm guessing there's a way to privately comment or message to keep your details secure.
