Lucy’s bluebird trust

Lucy is just 15 years old and for the last 5 years has been fighting a rare form of childhood cancer , alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma
On September 8th 2018 the family yet again had the devastating news that Lucy’s cancer had returned for a 4 th time, this time while she was still receiving chemotherapy for previous relapses
The cancer is extensive and is in Lucy’s shoulders, sternum, rib, and bone marrow .. lucy has to undergo further tests to determine a treatment path for her
She is in constant pain and in less than 6 weeks has gone from a child climbing hills on a family holiday to not being able to get out of bed .. the pain is immense
Over the last 5 years lucy has only had 6 months where she has been chemo and treatment free .. no child should have to endure this
Lucy’s mum and Dad along with family and friends are devastated
We aim to raise money so that it allows kim and David to spend more time at home with Lucy and to ease the burden from them a little of everyday stresses of life
Also we want to be able to give lucy the things she wants or needs.. like days out or maybe a family holiday when she feels a little better
Mobility is a massive issue for Lucy at the minute and the simplest of things we take for granted like having a bath or getting up and down stairs is a mamouth painful task for her
The only way we can help is to try and make things we can control a little easier for the family
