Lucy's Arthrogryposis Journey

Donation protected
As many of you know, my grand baby Lucy, was born on November 5, 2019 with a condition called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC). Arthrogryposis is a rare condition that occurs in 1 out of 3,000 births. It involves curved or hooked joints and limited range of motion for joints of the hands, wrists, knees, feet, shoulders and hips. Lucy is affected in all 4 limbs. In December we took Lucy to Scottish Rite in Dallas for a consultation.  We were very pleased with the hospital and doctors, but after much research and talking with other Arthrogryposis parents and grandparents; we would like to get a second opinion. Early intervention is VERY important for Arthrogryposis children. Dr. David Feldman is a doctor in Florida that specializes in Arthrogryposis and are hoping to be able to take her to see him. We want the best treatment for our little Lucy; as her quality of life will depend on her early interventions. Will she walk? Will she feed herself? Will she be able to wash her own hair? These are not things most parents have to worry about when they bring home their little bundle of joy, but unfortunately this is the reality of Lucy's future.  If God lays in our your heart to help with Lucy's Arthrogryposis Journey we would forever be grateful ❤️ We would use the money for deductibles, flights, boarding, and meals while in Florida. They want you to stay a few months the first appointment so they can start serial casting, therapy, and hand splints. They start treatment very quickly!!
