Lucky Louie's Recovery Fund

Hello Everyone,
Unfortunately yesterday we had to live through a very traumatic expirence. Our gentle pitbull Louie was stabbed multiple times for approaching an individual with his dog. Our Louie would never hurt anything (ok, maybe a stick here or there) but he would never attack. He was with his two brothers, Vincent and Benny when the incident happen and they were so traumatized they fled to their house to get help. Luckily, Louie's mother, Mimi, was applying pressure to his wounds to keep him alive. Louie lost alot of blood during the incident and has had a blood tranfusion today, he has a low red cell blood count, which isnt really good, but we are all sending our positive vibes to him in his time of need. Alameda county police department were called to the scene and was in no rush to help our poor boy. They told us today that the individual is not at fault but used self defense and confessed he stabbed Louie. Yet he has no bite marks on himself or his dog. This stabbing is unjustified, plain and simple. We are seeking justice for our boy Louie. Louie will be in the hospital until tomorrow (fingers crossed). So far his hospital bills are very quickly approaching to 15,000.  We could use any help you are willing to give. If you dont know who the dog mom is here, Mimi Dean, a 56 year old san lorenzo resident, is well known for her love of dogs, art, and Bernie Sanders.  She is still currently working as an art teahcer at Bohannon Middle School (where the incident occured) where shes been working for the past 16 years. She gives back to her community alot, and i mean ALOT. It would really be appreciated if you can pitch anything in, even your thoughts,prayers, and positive vibes.
