Lucinda’s Top Surgery Fund

Hey everyone,

I’m Lucinda, a non-binary musician and illustrator based in the UK. I’m also training to get my level 3 personal training certification to help more queer, trans and non-binary people have access to inclusive fitness to help with their fitness goals and body dysphoria.

I’ve struggled with body dysmorphia and dysphoria for a huge part of my life, and I’ve been waiting a long time for my referral to come in for the Gender Identity Clinic but unfortunately with increased wait times and increased waiting lists on the NHS it’s looking like it could be anywhere up to 5-7 years before I could get the surgery, possibly more.

I’m 30, and I’ve waited a long time to do this. I wanted to wait before fundraising until I had recovered from an eating disorder and had spent a good amount of time in therapy. The cost for this surgery is more than I currently earn in a year, so it’s not something I can finance myself without support. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.

It’s possible for me to have this surgery privately and I’ve found a surgeon I’d like to do it. Going private will give me access to it within 12-14 months, which would change my life completely and allow me to live in the body I’ve always wanted.

If I could even reach half the amount this would be massively appreciated.

The amount the GoFundMe is for is for the consultation, the diagnosis appointments (I need 2 because I'm not on T), and the surgery its self. I'll be trying to pay for as much as possible, so any money I do put towards it myself or any private donations will be taken off the total as I go.
