Lucha Contra el Cáncer de Silvia
Mi mamá y yo, recibimos la noticia que nadie quiere escuchar, fue diagnosticada con Adenocarcinoma de Pulmón izquierdo, metastásico a pleura, estadio IV, lo que en términos simples sería: "cáncer de pulmón".
Nosotras somos de Venezuela, un país donde el sistema de salud pública es inexistente y los medicamentos son inasequibles como resultado de la crisis socioeconómica. Por otro lado, Venezuela está presentando fallas graves en el sistema eléctrico, que han afectado al país desde inicios de marzo.
En mis país de origen, es imposible conseguir el tipo de tratamiento que mi mamá necesita, por lo que nos vimos en la necesidad de trasladarla a Miami, Estados Unidos. Ya ella se aplicó 6 quimios, por lo que debe continuar su tratamiento en esta ciudad, debido a que por falta de fondos las tuvo que parar de manera momentánea.
Eliecer, el esposo de mi mamá, va a ser el encargado de retirar los fondos recaudados, para así poder pagar el tratamiento.
De verdad que significaría mucho si pudieras donar a mi campaña. Cualquier donativo, por más pequeño que parezca, es importante en este momento.

Tuvimos que hacer un ajuste de presupuesto debido a los diferentes tratamientos y procedimientos a los que mi mamá debe someterse en Estados Unidos, en donde la medicina es muy costosa.

¿En qué serán empleadas tus donaciones?
A mi mamá ya le removieron el tumor del pulmón y se aplicó en Venezuela su tratamiento para combatir las células cancerígenas y como indicación, mi mamá necesita realizarse un mantenimiento con el esquema Alimta y un anticuerpo monoclonal llamado Pembrolizumab.
Lamentablemente, hace un par de meses le dieron la noticia a mi mamá de que había surgido una metástatis de 4 tumores en el cerebro, los cuales fueron combatidos con radiaciones Gamma Knife. El problema es que en menos de 1 mes de haberle realizado dicho tratamiento, le salieron nuevamente 4 tumores más en diversas partes del cerebro, debido a la metástasis anteriormente mencionada.
Es por esto, que necesitamos tu colaboración ya que el Médico que la está atendiendo le indicó como tratamiento:
-Más radiaciones en todo el cerebro (las cuales son muy costosas)
-Resonancias magnéticas de monitoreo
-Pet scan de pulmón y abdomen
-Exámenes de sangre cada 21 días.

My mom and I received the news that nobody wants to hear: she has been diagnosed with stage IV adenocarcinoma of the left lung with pleural metastasis, which in simpler terms means lung cancer.
We come from Venezuela, a country where the public health system has collapsed and where medicine is scarce and impossible to access due to the socioeconomic crisis. Moreover, Venezuela is currently suffering from severe power outages, which have affected the country since the beginning of March.
In my country of origin, it is impossible to find the type of treatment that my mom needs. For this reason, we had to take her to Miami, in the United States. In Venezuela, she already underwent 6 chemotherapies, and now she needs to continue her treatment in this city, since she had to stop it momentarily due to a lack of funding.
Eliecer, my mom’s husband, will be in charge of withdrawing the funds collected in order to pay for the treatment.
It would mean a lot for me if you could donate to my campaign. Any donation, as small as it may seem, is important in this moment.

We've had to make adjustments to the budget due to the various treatments and procedures that my mom must undergo in the United States, where healthcare is very costly.

What will your donations be used for?
My mom has already had the tumor in her lung removed, and in Venezuela she received treatment to fight cancer cells. She was also prescribed maintenance treatment using a combination of Alimta and a monoclonal antibody called Pembrolizumab.
Unfortunately, a couple of months ago my mom got the news that four metastatic tumors had appeared in her brain. These tumors were treated with Gamma Knife radiation. However, less than a month after this treatment, 4 new tumors appeared in different parts of her brain due to the metastases.
This is why we need your collaboration, as her doctor prescribed:
-More radiation therapy in the entire brain (which is very expensive)
- Monitoring MRIs
-Abdominal and Lung PET scan
-Blood tests every 21 days
