When people say their child is one in a million, it's an expression. When we say our child is one (or two) in a million, its a fact.

Our son Lucas has had a challenging little life thus far. During pregnancy he was a twin. Sadly, at 32 weeks we lost his brother, Caleb. Two weeks later they were born and due to some common prematurity complications Lucas spent a week in the NICU.

When Lucas was 9 months old he was diagnosed with a form of liver cancer called hepatoblastoma. After four rounds of chemotherapy he will have the tumor surgically removed and then two more rounds of chemotherapy.

Chemotherapy runs the risk of lifelong complications and a recurrence of cancers.

The money raised will go towards his/our expenses and anything remaining will be put into a savings for his future.
