Lucas: Heart Warrior

Lucas was born on June 8, 2018. He was the answer to his parents’, Kurt and Jenny, prayers. However, it was discovered at his 20 week ultrasound that he had hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), double outlet right ventricle, and coarctation of the aorta. Upon his newborn physical, he was also diagnosed with an upper arm fracture, cleft palate, and Pierre Robin Sequence. On June 13, Lucas underwent his first of three planned heart surgeries. It ended up being an 8.5 hour procedure, but Lucas is a heart warrior and came through with flying colors! We set up this page for them to help make a dent in the medical costs that they will incur. Kurt and Jenny (along with big brother Jake) are two of the strongest, most positive, and compassionate people in the world. Please help us to help them!
