Rescue Ridge is about giving animals second chances, and right now kitties Luca and Kevin are fighting for theirs. Both of these boys need life saving, specialized surgery for painful and dangerous ear polyps.

Luca was rescued from a window well with his siblings. He was a terrified kitten, but now has blossomed into a cuddle bug who loves hugs and kisses. Unfortunately he developed painful ear polyps. Emergency surgery and hospitalization helped him through a dangerous fever, but deeper polyps remain. A CT scan confirmed he now needs specialized surgery to remove them and begin his full healing.

Kevin is a 4 year old gentle giant who has already beaten the odds. Despite his FeLV (Feline Leukemia) diagnosis, he is thriving: healthy, strong, and overflowing with love. Recently, Kevin began walking with a head tilt. Tests revealed the same cruel diagnosis as Luca, deep ear polyps that will only get worse without intervention. For a boy who has fought so hard and remained so full of joy, it feels devastatingly unfair. Kevin deserves the chance to keep proving how strong and special he truly is.

Each CT scan was $1,800. The life saving surgery is estimated $3,500 per cat, totaling an estimate of $7,000. It is an overwhelming cost for the small rescue, but their lives depend on it.

Luca is finally trusting enough to receive love and Kevin continues to thrive despite his FeLV. These kitties want and deserve to live, but Rescue Ridge needs help to give them that chance.
