Surgery to Save Larry

We are asking for help to pay for a suddenly necessary surgery for our dog, Larry. Larry has been with my husband and me since our lives together began. He's been through all the major events of our lives, and we want him here for a few more.

Larry is an 8 year old dachshund. He is spunky, barky, and always hungry! Even with his tummy all hurt. Larry is a healthy guy, and we don't want to put him to sleep simply because we cannot afford his surgery. We are working four jobs between us to pay our bills and support our two kids. It's simply not in the budget.

It turns out that Larry's more and more frequent vomiting and heaving was due to something that is lodged in his stomach. We don't know what it might be...he hasn't eaten for three days. He has no interest in toys and has never been a chewer of abnormal things. The only two guesses we have are...it may be a piece of a rawhide, or it may be some kind of small animal he got while out in the yard. 

Our vet has been wonderful at finding the problem and trying to help find solutions. We're going in for a final x-ray this morning before we have to decide what to do...
