Kidney Fund Honor of Sonia Grubbs

I'm a single mother who was diagnosed with lupus in 1992.In 1995,the disease began to affect my kidneys and my kidneys steadily began to decline.In 2004,as a result of my illness,I was placed on dialysis, which takes place three times a week for three hours.My doctors have told me that the only real chance at a healthy life is to have a kidney transplant.
                                  
Through all of my struggles, my determination and fight for my life remains strong, because I'm not only fighting for me I'm also fighting to be there for my son James and he wants me to be healthy and a loving presence in his life.

Currently, I am on the transplant list at Lifelink Medical Center.Transplants are lifesaving but extremely  expensive. Even with my insurance,I will have many uninsured transplants related expenses such as co pays and deductible, doctor visits and costly immunosuppressant medication that I will need to take for the rest of my life.This is a financial challenge I can not meet alone.
