Phil's Fire Recovery Fund

On Friday, February 6th, a blazing fire in Ocean Grove, NJ engulfed several apartments, including Phil's, destroying all his possessions.  He was fortunate enough to escape the fire unharmed, but did so with only the clothes on his back.  Phil has worked with us at Toys R Us since 1978, selling toys and electronics to several generations of Monmouth county residents.  Chances are if you have ever bought a video game in Eatontown, Phil probably sold it to you.   Shoppers come in and ask for him by name, and have been doing so for years.  He is not just another team member, he is part of our R Us family, and we would like to do as much as we can to get him back on his feet.  Many of the things that were destroyed are irreplacable - Phil is an excellent photographer, and he had taken wonderful shots of buildings and places that just don't exist any more - but we want to do everything we can to help him replace the things that are.  At this point we are trying to raise money to help him find a new apartment and purchase new furniture and clothing to replace everything he has lost.  Thank you for your help!
