Artivism is the most powerful way to bring awareness to issues that must be addressed in society in order to be more civilized, harmonious and healthier as a whole. We must extend our hands to the ones in need that cannot provide for themselves and are sleeping on the streets in the most crudeness ways.
Homelessness has been recurrent in my work. It's a very sensitive subject for me since I was once living on the streets in my teens ages, when I was not welcomed home. I know very well how it feels to be abandoned and excluded from society.
Have you ever been Homeless? if not, what separates you from others sleeping under the freeway?
Nobody seem or have time to think about homelessness or even want to talk about it, yet we are all potential homeless in this heartless Capitalistic rat race. This society disposes human beings just because they are not productive enough or have no capability to benefit the Soulless Corporate Machinery.
It's my job to bring these issues to the light and have a debate about humanity, what means to be human and caring about others in need.
I have been raising awareness for Social, Animal and Environmental Rights since I first started in Spain in 2012. I have been very successful in creating activism campaigns that made and still makes people aware of issues, crimes and injustices that need to be brought to light and are often ignored by Mainstream Media.
This new Art and Activism project will document 'a day in a life' experience with 5 randomly selected Homeless in City of Angels. I will hire 5 photographers to immortalize the moments shared with 5 fellow humans sleeping on the streets. We will feed and comfort them with love and caring. My idea is to feed each other's souls with our presence and appreciation for their individuality. I want to make love in an intimate way of simply acknowledging their true essence. I want to capture the magic that happens in those moments in large prints for a gallery exhibition.
I am launching this fundraiser campaign because to be able to hire 5 professional photographers and videographers, with 5 different approaches. I also want to compensate 5 homeless people for time and participation in this project. I also will select the best images, with the power to deeply touch your soul. I will print and frame them for a gallery exhibition in LA, which also will feature short videos of each of the 5 interactions.
100% of the profits will go to the Homeless who participated and to Non-Profit associations and Charities that are working hand by hand with the homeless on the streets. I will personally make sure every dollars every single dime raised will go directly to those in need.
The one and only objective of this project is to close the gap between society and homelessness, to build bridges, to extend hands to reach people's hearts and to connect humans. I want to inspire others to follow my lead and create similar Artivisms around the country. I want to teach younger generations how to use your creative and artistic powers to truly make an impactful change in other's lives.
None, absolutely none of this money we raise will go to my pocket, it will defeat the purpose. I would be so grateful to be able to accomplish my ideas and projects that has a direct positive transformation. I could not do it without you, and that's why I'm reaching out for your help and support.
I would love to invite you all to the gallery show once we complete this #artivism project within a month.

There are no strangers here; Only friends you haven't yet met. We can bring positive energy into our daily lives by smiling more, talking to strangers in line, replacing handshakes with hugs, and calling our friends just to tell them we love them. Good things happen when you meet strangers.
