Dr. Ida M. Vintes Tafari, was a loving mother, wife and educator in all forms of the word. Ida spent her life championing the equality and freedom of all people whether it be through music, art or education she strived to enlighten the community on a grass roots level. Continuously empowering minds wherever she went.
On March 24th Ida joined the ancestors and passed on. Born to an Afro Cuban father and Cherokee Indian, Nigeran mother she was worldly in all forms. As her youth we strive to continue in the positive revolutionary light that she has shined into us. As a family we remember all the loving, caring and inspirational messages and lessons she has gifted us with. The spirit of her lion heart lives within.
A biological mother of three she was also mentally, physically and spiritually a mother to many more and for the universe of siblings she has given us we are grateful. Her time in this plain will not be forgotten. She was loved. RASATAFARI We welcome all to join in such memories on Saturday, March 31st, 2018. The memorial will be held at their Coconut Grove home.
