Frankie's Healthcare Campaign

Frankie is our little dog, a terrier mix approximately 5-6 years old.  He came to live with us in January of 2013 after suffering horrific abuse at the hands of his former owner.  He had been tied to a tree in a remote area, shot in the mouth, beaten and left to die.  He was rescued by campers who had heard his cries.  After some surgeries, including experimental surgery to repair his jaw, and a long recuperation period, he came to join our family in Napa California.  He has been a happy and well loved little boy.  Sadly,  Frankie was recently diagnosed with a seizure disorder and has started on a regimen of phenobarbital.  We are told that the seizures could be a result of eplilepsy, the abuse he suffered, or even a cancerous tumor.  The standard diagnostic procedure is an MRI, which is costly.  Also, Frankie needs some follow up tests, including a CT scan, to check on the status of his jaw.  UC Davis has given us an estimate of $4,100 to cover this care.  This is our goal for Frankie's healthcare campaign.  Should we raise more money than is needed for Frankie's care, then the excess will be dontated to help another dog with medical needs.  Thank you in advance for your consideration, love and support.  Every donation, no matter what size, will help us reach our goal.  Please click on the link below to visit Frankie's Facebook Page Facebook.com/hope4butch (Frankie's former name), and read about his journey.
