Love for Savanna

Savanna is the 8 year old daughter of a personal friend of mine, Heather Brooks. Since November of 2013, Savanna has been experiencing a variety of medical symptoms, for which there is still an unknown diagnosis. The symptoms include: severe constipation, uncontrolled incontinence, fainting at school, hypoglycemic incidents and an overall feeling of illness. So far, Savanna has had 2 rounds of blood work, checking for Celiac disease, thyroid issues, mono, complete blood count, iron levels, blood sugar and sedimentation rate. She has also had a urine test, a full doctors exam, 3 enemas, 4 clean outs, an abdominal xray, a lumbar spine xray, a renal ultrasound, a lumbar spine MRI, an EKG, an appointment with a GI specialist at Johns Hopkins, an appointment with a Child Psychologist at Mt. Washington Hospital, and weekly play therapy. At this time, the doctors feel that she is dealing with 2 separate issues. One being probable Spina Bifida Occulta, which puts pressure on the bowel and bladder, due to the increased curvature of the spine. The second is an Endocrinology issue. As you can imagine, all of this has caused extreme anxiety for Savanna, and she is currently unable to attend first grade at Willards Elementary. Please consider donating to the Brooks family. Heather works from home, and is currently unable to do so, due to the constant medical care and appointments that Savanna has. In addition, are the expenses of constant traveling and things not covered by insurance. Please keep Savanna, Heather and John in your prayers as they walk through this still unknown health crisis. As with any crisis, this has caused an incredible financial burden, but the Brooks family has faith that God will provide during this time.
