Hello, my name is Flynn and this is my story:

I lived on the farm for ten years, my whole life, and never had a name.
Sometimes I was called kitty kitty at dinner time, sometimes OJ, but I
was happy when I was given the name Flynn. Quite regal I think!
I was cared for by a lady who owned the country property. I had a barn to sleep in; warm and dry cat beds, food and water year-round, and somebody to watch out for me. She would pet me and spend time with me, and with the horses too, and made sure I was safe. But one day things started to change, there was a lot of tidying up, the horses were re homed and eventually a moving truck came. All the lady’s furniture in the house was being moved out and then just like that - everyone was gone but me!
The property was getting to be too much for the woman to care for on her own and she sold it to move into town. She told the new owners that she would find a cat rescue for me. Food was provided and she thought she had some time to accomplish that. But the new owners were having no part of it and were not compassionate and insisted she take me now! They even threatened to shoot me.
Finally finding Pet Patrol, I was brought in and soon taken to the vet clinic, as Pet Patrol does that for all of their cats. Problems were found. I have quite a few issues with my left eye. There is an ulcer on the cornea, it is infected and my eye lids are rippled and inflamed. This means that I need a lot of medication to clean up the ulcer and the infection in order to save my vision in that eye.
The eye lids, because they don’t close properly, allowed infection and dry eye and I will need corrective surgery.
But wait, there is more. My left ear is also thick inside and there is a
possibility that I may have a polyp (wart) in there, which needs to be
removed surgically.
Not done yet! My teeth are rotten and I'll
definitely have to have some removed as I have trouble eating my
kibble.
This was all unexpected! In estimating all the medical care
I will need, the clinic says about $2200. Yowzer! Pet Patrol does not
have that kind of money without fundraising - so here we are.
I am such a nice cat, ten years old but full of love and affection for people I am happy go lucky and really, really want to get better. I am enjoying living inside and am so grateful for this chance at a new life, but need all this medical stuff done. Would you donate? I give pretty good kitty kisses in thanks.
