Love tries to fight the distance

Hello everybody, my name is Melanie and I wish I wouldn’t have to ask for anything but the current situation taught me different.

We are a loving couple that lives over 8.000 km apart and we would like to spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve together. Something that seems normal and typical for other couples are just not for us. My better half had to leave me in October 2019 to go back to the United States because of his orders. I was being able to see him in July and we got engaged. Ever since then we got separated again. If it wouldn’t be for the pandemic we are all in at the moment, we wouldn’t have to struggle as much as we do right now, not only because of the money issues, but because of everything else that started to get even more difficult for us. We are working on the visa process right now, hoping for the best, but realistically speaking it will most likely take another year until we are being able to finally live together. This donation goal goes all the way to the flight ticket I am trying to pay for since he is already paying for the whole visa process. I hope there is a way for us to reach the goal and I appreciate every single cent of it. I hope this all doesn‘t come off egoistic ..
