Love Offering for Vietnam War Vet Bob & wife Robin

Our dear friends  Charles "BOB" Ware and his wife Robin have been experiencing a living nightmare that started with Bob's hospitalization in New Bern NC  on the 1st of April.  Bob is an Army veteran and requested to be transferred to the Durham VA Medical Center on April 8th.  Bob has been diagnosed with "Necrotizing Pancreatitis" and 2/3rd of his pancreas is dead.  Bob is in terrible pain and food consumption is impossible.  He is on his 5th feeding tube and had exploratory  surgery to place drainage tubes in his abdomen which left him with an open wound.  Robin has been forced to give up her job and consequently lost her health care.  She will now be paying for private healthcare. The 6 hour round trip is an impossible daily commute, so Robin is staying in hotels in the area of the hospital to be with her dear husband. Last year a patient with the  same diagnosis was in the hospital for 9 months and Bob and Robin were just informed that Bob could  easily be there for another 3 months.  If Bob is there another 3 months,the hotel expense alone could easily be at $19,000.00.  It is our hope and prayers that this "Go Fund Me" will  provide them with some financial relief and assist them in their mounting expenses.  We also want to bring awareness to this horrific disease.  We covet prayers for our dear friends and hope that you can find it in your heart to offer assistance in even the smallest amount.

May 17, 2019 - Yesterday the gastro doc said Bob would be lucky to have 10% of his pancreas left after all is said and done. His exact words were “I’m not sure he’ll have 10% left”

Received this morning from Robin: “the doctor came in this morning and said that 90% of Bob’s pancreas is dead.”
