Maxwell Ironside

On July 15th, 2014 Jenny and I discovered that our 3 1/2 year old Boxer/Great Dane, Maxwell, had a tumor originating from his spinal cord. This tumor has resulted in near complete paralysis of his rear half. After further tests, it was determined that he would have to undergo surgery to remove the tumor in an attempt to eleviate pressure off of his spinal cord. The surgery was completed on July 22nd.  As we await the results of the biopsy, we are preparing ourselves for an intensive rehabilitation process, to restore some, if not all of his rear mobility. This will, of course, be a very emotional time for Jenny and I. He is our little boy, our best friend.

During this process, we have been struck with the financial burdens of caring for a loved one.  We are hoping to raise $8000 to help offset the cost of his medical and rehabilitation expenses.  We would like to thank you for your support and hope that you will keep Maxwell in your thoughts and prayers.
