Love for the Loughrans

Hello Community, Friends and Family:

Jennifer and her family need our help. As some of you may know, their youngest child, Finn, was diagnosed with TaySachs Disease . Jennifer and Mike Loughran had already lost a child years perviously as well, and are now dealing with the unimaginable once again. In 2013, they lost their daughter, Sylvia, for undetermined reasons.  She was only 14 months old and had low tone and special needs, but she was never diagnosed.

Five months later, Loughran lost her mother, and then her grandmother two months after that, followed two weeks later by her dog.  Additionally, Mike Loughran was diagnosed with Cancer and had to undergo treatments and therapies. He is currently waiting to complete a new scan.

To say it's been an emotional tsunami, is an understatement.

With so much going on in their personal lives, Jennifer found ways to channel her anxiety and grief into creating The Mask Squad (you can ready more about her story be reading this The Breeze article).  Jenn and her amazing Mask Squad Team raised over $15,000 to help the community, county, state and beyond, create and distribute necessary PPE to anyone, public or private, who needed. Now, it's OUR turn to help raise money for The Loughrans. 

Finn has a lot of medical expenses. We are raising monies towards medical care that will  also include quality of life and considerations for allowing the family to enjoy the time they have together. Although fundraising is for necessities, like medical equipment/copays/surgeries,  it is also for comfort and convenience during this time.  Currently, Jennifer is trying to make a lot of assistive devices herself for Finn. We'd like to ensure the family be able to purchase what is needed instead of spending a lot of time finding materials and trying to create them on their own.

On top of the medical burdens, Mike Loughran was recently in a car accident which resulted in the vehicle being deemed "totaled," and  has left them with one car. Unfortunately, that one car already has it's own issues and needs repairs that may or may not be able to be done. We'd like to be able to help them use money raised towards the needed repairs on car one, but also put a down payment on a new car for Mike.
