Love for Saskia

Donation protected

Just 11 months ago Saskia was a normal 32 year old. She enjoyed an active social life, and has always loved being surrounded by friends and family. She played on several sports teams, and also volunteered for local organizations in her spare time.
Early this year however, Saskia found a lump in her left breast. She hoped it was nothing but figured she should get it checked by her doctor just in case. After a series of medical tests including several ultrasounds, mammograms and finally a biopsy in May 2018, Saskia was given the life-altering news; she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of invasive ductal carcinoma, breast cancer.

This past October Saskia underwent a mastectomy to have the tumour removed, a surgery no woman ever wants to have to go through. She has also been undergoing a variety of complimentary treatments at the Ottawa Integrative Cancer Centre. At this point in her journey, after extensive research, medical consultations and careful consideration of her unique personal circumstances including her age and her desire to start a family of her own one day, she has decided to follow-up her surgery with a three week, non-toxic comprehensive cancer program offered in the U.S to help ensure that the cancer never comes back.

The Comprehensive Cancer Wellness Program (CCWP) is a Holistic Health Education Model in Integrative Oncology designed to be integrated with Standard Medical Care to maximize a person’s healing & recovery potential for getting well & staying well. People come from all over the world to participate in one of the leading edge protocols that combines Nutritional Science, Lifestyle Intervention, Energy & Regenerative Medicine, & PsychoNeuroImmunology to regenerate & restore their optimal health & longevity, and Saskia hopes to be one of them. Attending the program will be a powerful addition to improving Saskia’s overall success in getting well and ensuring the cancer does not return so she can live a long and healthy life well past her thirties!

Because these treatments are not included within conventional western medicine, it is not covered by her health insurance. The treatment costs alone are estimated at CDN $20,000 (USD $ 14,605). Laboratory services, accommodation and transportation are not included in these costs. Any support that you can offer will ease the financial burden of this endeavour and will be gratefully and humbly received.

Throughout the campaign, we will be posting updates and photos to let you know about Saskia’s progress.

A fundraiser is scheduled for December 30th at Monkeys Joe's Bar & Grill (1265 Carling Ave, Ottawa),  where we will have live music, door prizes and a silent auction with amazing items!  Please feel free to donate through this page and/or join us at the fundraiser.
