Love and Support for Christie

On Monday, August 27 our dear friend Christie Madden Collins lost her husband, Sam Collins. Sam's passing was sudden and devastating to Christie and their families. Many of you are dear friends and have followed and supported Christie's journey these last four years in her fight against thyroid cancer. Recently, Christie was told that cancer has returned to her thyroid, this time requiring radiation therapy. 

As her friends, we wrap Christie in love and prayer and know that her faith is in God to protect and provide for her through the sadness of Sam's loss and the uncertainty that lies ahead in her cancer treatment. It is our hope that, collectively, the community that loves and surrounds Christie - those of us who have been touched by her infectious laughter, her deep kindness, her strong faith, her openness and compassion, her dedication to her patients and her community - can share as we are able, to help ease these burdens.
