Louie Maida Sr, life after loss

Louis Maida Sr aka Louie Sr was involved in a horrific and life altering accident on 8/20/18 @ Ramah Church & Hwy 55 in Clover, SC.

His body is broken and bruised but will mend. His heart will undoubtedly take the longest to heal as his 4 yr old son Louie Jr lost his life due to the injuries sustained in the crash. Louie Sr’s world revolved around his namesake and he took pride in raising him everyday.

We’re honored to say that on August 24, 2018 Louie Jr became a true hero. He was able to help 4 children go home to their families restored and renewed through organ donation! Louie Sr has hopes of meeting these precious recipients in the future.

Louie Sr remains at CMC Main - Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC. He has numerous cuts and bruises, to include a punctured lung, bruised kidney & liver and a laceration on his face. His broken bones include ribs, a small bone in his back and his right tibia with surgery scheduled on 8/30 to fix his leg.

His road to recovery will keep him out of work for an undetermined amount of time, leaving him unable to meet the financial expenses ahead of him. Our hope is to collect enough to help defray his living expenses, to purchase transportation (liability only auto) and to also include the medical expenses necessary to get him back to work.
