If you've stopped by Bike Tech over the last 33 years, odds are you've met Lucious Hawthorne. I first met Lou as a kid and never forgot the friendly mechanic at our local bike shop. Fast forward to today and I not only enjoy working with Lou but treasure our friendship.
On April 25th, Lou recieved a long-awaited full knee replacement surgery. Thanks to the help of Bike Tech customers and friends, he was able to navigate the insurance needs for the surgery, but will still face large medical bills.
Lucious is a humble man and I ask that you join me in showing him how much he is appreciated by donating to help cover these medical bills. We will miss him around the shop as he recovers and is on medical leave. Here's to a speedy recovery, Lou!
The surgery went well. I spoke with his wife tonight and he is resting and will be in the hospital for a few days and then will have a long road of rehab to a full recovery.
