This page has been set up by friends and co-workers of LouAnn Rodarte who love her dearly.
LouAnn is a big part of our lives through day to day interactions in and out of the work place. Due to medical issues, she has been unable to work since October 2016. We are asking for your help to raise money for day to day living expenses, as well as items needed for recovery from upcoming surgeries. Medical insurance does not cover many of these items.
In June 2015 LouAnn underwent surgery to remove part of her skull and replace it with synthetic bone. This was done to correct a decades old sinus surgery that failed.
As a result of the surgery in 2015 LouAnn has become infected with a bacteria that the doctors have been unable to trace or cure. The infection has left her feeling as if her forehead is on fire - she has trouble sleeping, reading, and concentrating. LouAnn has been unable to work because of the debilitating effects of the infection and the medications being used to treat her.
LouAnn applied for disability through insurance provided by her employer, and has been denied. She is fighting the denial and will resubmit the claim; but with limited income, daily living expenses and medical expenses continue to accumulate.
LouAnn is scheduled to have two more surgeries out of area: One to remove the infected & synthetic bone, and another to replace the bonestructure that will be removed in the 1st proceedure. Between those surgeries her skull will be structually unprotected. Surprisingly a medical helmet that would protect her brain is not covered by her medical insurance.
Proceeds raised from this page will be applied to items such as the helmet, travel expenses, medical necessities and cost incurred during her rehabilitation. Your generousity will allow her husband, Moses to be by her side as much as possible for support.
