Lost my Loving & Hardworking Dad during Covid19

Donation protected

This is Clement (a deaf son) writing an eulogy of my late and loving father who passed away due to heart attack in the wake of covid19 period and I am one who jumped and trying to resuscitate him when he fell on the floor. It was very hard moment  for me because all the years I spent with him up and down operating business.

He was a loving father who always look after me. I was born deaf since birth but he doesn't consider deafness as disability. He has always taught me to overcome all the challenges I faced. He loved me so much as I loved him so much. We learned and shared a lot of common interests. It's sad that he is not here with me to look after me.

He passed away during the hard times of covid-19 pandemic at work because we are operating as essential business - shipping all the essential traditional Asian herbs, dried seafood, and dried food all over the USA. We are the only one in Chinatown NYC opened during the pandemic. It was very hard and difficult moment for us - facing the fears of getting sick or death. We prayed so hard that we will go thru during the time of pandemic trying to deliver Asian goods all over USA especially NYC where as Asian markets are shutdown during the pandemic.

My dad is beloved all over Chinese community. He is remembered as "白頭蘇“ White Hair So and many people love to come to our store and talk to him about dried seafood and other things. I miss the happiness and laughters of customers who came to store and share many funny stories. Many customers love his professionalism in dried seafood.

The reason I am posting this is to raise fund for memorial for my dad on my own because I want to honor his legacy as the most beloved, hardworking father and Asian American who died as an hero serving Asian food all over the USA which was shutdown so people can eat with ease and harmony in the wake of covid-19 pandemic.

I love my dad very much ... because I was taught to learn to be tough and realistic that we only live once .. we must strive for hard work and serve community.

He is survived by his deaf son - Clement, his daughter in law, two grandchildren, his wife and his other son, Nathan.
