Lost Boys Journey to DC

Donation protected
As three High School students from Chandler, Arizona we began our National History Day project this year looking for a topic that was powerful and could relate to current issues as well.  We decided to focus on the Lost Boys of Sudan.  After eight months of research and interviewing several Lost Boys we were inspired by the story of these boys who are now men.  We were honored to win first place at the National History Day in Arizona Affiliate Contest with our documentary: "Walking Through the Fires of Conflict-The Lost Boys of Sudan."

We are looking forward to attending the National Contest in June at the University of Maryland, College Park-Just outside of Washington DC. We would like to share the final phase of this journey with two of the Lost Boys who have shared their stories and supported us in our research, understanding, and the production of our documentary.  We know we would not be going to nationals with out them,  and hope to continue to share their stories and bring attention not only to them but current ongoing issues in South Sudan.

Donations will cover:
All Travel Expenses
Food
Activities
And a Souvenir

All funds raised will be used to directly pay for travel expenses and cash cards given to the Lost Boys for food expenses while we travel.
