Loss of pay from emergency surgery

Just moved to a new state and started a new job.
Had a surgical procedure outpatient. Unfortunately had complications that led to me having a 2nd emergency surgery less then a week later.
As a result of this I missed several days of work and do not qualify for PTO yet.
I am still healing and can barely walk right now, but have to go to work in order to take care of my kids.
I spent the last of my savings to move and pick my small children.
This will go directly cover household bills that I am now short on as the result of the 2nd emergency surgery.
