Lorraine’s new lungs

Hi, our names are Louise and Vanessa. We’ve started this page on behalf of our friend Lorraine to help raise vital funds for her medical expenses to help prolong her life.




Lorraine is 22 years of age with a disease known as Pulmonary hypertension and a heart defect. In simpler terms this means that the arteries between her heart and lungs are closing which will eventually result in heart failure. Lorraine has been placed on the transplant list for 2 lungs and a heart repair.




At the age 17 she was diagnosed after 2 years of displaying symptoms of this disease. Due to her condition she didn’t get to finish her education.  She never had the same quality of life as her piers.  Lorraine has been working part time for two years but recently had to give that up as her condition was getting progressively worse.




The funds we make will go towards Lorraine’s medical expenses and travel expenses for the next few years before and after her transplant. Also adaptions will have to be made to her home to make it more recovery friendly for her return from this life changing surgery.
