Lorraine Nunes’ Battle with Cancer

In July 2014 Lorraine was diagnosed with Stage 2B invasive lobular breast cancer with two lymph nodes testing positive for cancer. She went through a Double mastectomy, reconstruction, chemo, radiation and hormone blocker for three years. Unfortunately in June 2018 she was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastasized breast cancer. It metastasized to the lymphatic system around her lung and collapsed her lung. Right now they are Also watching three new spots on her spine, these were just confirmed with cancerous activity. She is currently Getting chemo on a weekly basis along with taking a hormone blocker. She is fighting strong but the treatment is taking a toll on her energy and interferes with her ability to work.She has to pay $85 for each doctor visit, chemo, scan, MRI, nutritionist or anything else doctor related and on top of that she has the expense of all her prescriptions.
