Lorna Venus - Frontliner Fighting for Her LIfe

Lorna Venus, a nurse at Beaumont Hospital, took care of a patient during the week of March 22nd, who eventually passed away just a couple of days after admission. The patient was tested post-mortem and it turned out the patient was positive for Covid-19.
On March 27th, Lorna’s brother-in-law posted a message on FaceBook with a picture of Lorna and her team of frontliners and he called them “heroes during this pandemic times”. He also said, “let us offer prayers for all the frontliners”.
A week after Lorna was exposed to Covid-19, she started having symptoms (chills, fever, and body aches, etc…). She went out to get tested but was declined and was advised to go home and quarantine herself. Despite her plea to get tested for the reason that she was exposed to the coronavirus, she was told they cannot test her because her symptoms were mild.
While in self-quarantine her symptoms worsened and on April 4th she was admitted at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital. But in just 2 days her condition went downhill and eventually Lorna was put on a ventilator. She eventually was transferred to Beaumont Hospital but when her condition did not improve Lorna was transported to the University of Michigan via Medivac and that’s where she is currently fighting for her life.
In the midst of all this her husband, Andrew, who couldn't work due to the lockdown, felt so helpless and frustrated that he couldn't even be with his wife to comfort and care for her during this ordeal. It’s mother’s day tomorrow, and I can’t imagine how Lorna’s children are coping with the reality that they can’t even be with their own mom on Mother’s Day.
As friends of the Venus family, we thought about donating some money to help a family in need. A common friend suggested that we open a Gofundme account so everyone who would like to help the Venus family can donate as well. We appeal to your generosity and more importantly we ask that you include the Venus family in your prayers.
