Lori has a chronic autoimmune skin disease in which there is no cure called Hidradenitis Suppurativa. Hidradenitis suppurativa (hi-drad-uh-NIE-tis sup-yoo-ruh-TIE-vuh) is rare, long-term skin condition that features small, painful lumps under the skin. They typically develop where the skin rubs together, such as the armpits, the groin, between the buttocks and under the breasts. The lumps may break open and smell or cause tunnels under the skin.
Over the past 2 years she has had several major surgeries including skin grafts from her legs to cover the holes left open in her skin from this disease. Treatment for this disease is painful, chronic and requires continuous surgeries, wound management and hospital stays.
Due to Lori's illness Lori has been unable to work and is currently on disability. Medical bills associated with her treatment has quickly gone beyond her ability to pay.
Lori's current biggest need is financial help with mounting medical bills. Our focus is short term fundraising campaign to help with current medical bills.
