Hi my name is Gaye Lambert. Most of you that know Lori, know me. Lori and I have been each others right arm for the last 25 years. We have worked side-by-side and experienced life's highest of highs and lowest of lows together. Supporting each other through every single step.
I am writing this today to tell you that don't know and update you that know a little about what's happening in Loris life at present.
On June 26, 2017 Lori heard those dreaded words nobody wants to hear "it's cancer". After a routine mammogram and a keen eye from the radiologist, a spot was found. A biopsy was taken and even though very small, it was diagnosed as a fast growing breast cancer.
As I sit here at the hospital Monday morning August 14, 2017 Lori is undergoing a double mastectomy and the first part of her reconstructive surgery. The medical treatment plan for her cancer, which may include chemo, radiation and other medications, will be determined based on the findings during surgery today.
Lori has always been a friend and biggest supporter to others. She's the first to send a card, buy a gift, plan the party or bring the cheese potatoes!!
The emotion and financial burden of surviving breast cancer is a challenge to say the least. Anyone that knows Lori, knows that she has is a planner to the enth degree. Brian and Lori both are self employed which, as we all know, means you have to physically be at work to make money. Obviously, her not being able to work for 3 to 4 months and him taking time off to care for her was NOT part of her plan!
Lori told me her doctors first and foremost orders after her diagnosis were, "Keep your life as stress free as possible"
Her response to me, Ya right! I have cancer...not to mention bills to pay, & I'm going to be off work longer than ever before!
This is where you, I and the gofundme account come into play. The medical bills and monthly living expenses will continue to add up. Therefore I am reaching out to her amazing network of friends and family to help support her and ease that worrying, plan ahead, stressed mind of her's. Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated and will be a huge help to Lori for the next few months.
I pray that Lori will find comfort and understanding in God's will for her life. She is a stronger person than she realizes. With all the support and prayers from friends and family, I am confident this is just a hurdle in her path to be a witness to others of Gods hand in her life.

Please post and share this.
Thank you,
Gaye
