On Saturday, September 12th, 2020, the Magok family suffered an incredible loss with the unexpected passing of our beloved, Machot Abel Magok known to his friends as "Maglock/Misho". At the young age of 23, he was an adored son, brother, friend, and relative to many. As someone who was so highly respected, loved, and admired within our family community, this is an unbearable loss faced by so many.
Machot was someone who always illuminated the environment around him with so much positivity and love. He cared so deeply for his family and friends, and continuously put their needs before his own. He was a very talented basketball player, and is remembered for his skill, team work, and success during his playing career. He's had such an impact on so many, and all he has done will never be forgotten.
Machot is survived by his 4 sisters, Aruai, Awiet, Adol, and Yar; and his parents Akon and Abel. He's loved and always will be remembered by his relatives, friends, and team mates. The family is grateful for all the messages of condolences, prayers, and well-wishes; these kind gestures continue to provide our family with the much needed strength in this hard time.
Machot's sudden death has brought an unexpected financial hardship on the family to cover his funeral costs. The family wishes to be able to provide Machot with a celebration that honours all he has done, the lives he has touched, and the love and greatness he brought to this world. All contributions will go directly to peacefully laying our dear Machot to rest, any remaining funds will go to the family.
