The Moyanna Tillman Memorial Fund is birthed from the tragic loss of a brilliant life lost at the hands of domestic violence.
Moyanna’s life was emblematic of a community builder, a nurturer, a safe haven. In honor of how she lived and loved, this fund will serve as a symbol of her life path- to create havens for others.
We recognize that supporting survivors requires a coordinated effort. We recognize the critical role that social outreach programs, public policy and legislation play in prevention and protecting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The Moyanna Tillman Memorial Fund will serve as a resource center working in tandem with coalition builders who place a high priority on policies and programs that focus on prevention, and active campaigns and initiatives that meet women where their greatest needs lie. The fund will grant scholarships and other financial resources. We will share more as we meet our initial fundraising goal. We remain committed to honoring Moyanna by being in active service to others.
