London to Brighton bike ride for North London Hospice
Post Sunday update, I did it! That was a harder ride than I had anticipated, lots of hills even before you get half way, and the infamous Ditchling Beacon waiting near the end... As part of training I did a longer ride around the Isle of Wight, with more climbing. It wasn't enough, the hills to Brighton come one after the other, with little respite
The support from family, neighbours and friends has been truly moving and motivating and it all helps make a real difference to such an important cause
My family has personal experience of the hospice movement and the wonderful work that they do, and your support for this essential work, which is so important when it is needed most, is really appreciated
Your donations make a difference:
- £7.50 could fund home made meals for a patient on our Inpatient Unit for one day.
- £23 could fund an associate community nurse to deliver care to a patient in their own home.
- £50 could pay for telephone counselling to help two recently bereaved children.
- £124 could fund four therapy sessions with an acupuncture therapist.
- £150 could pay for nightwear for ten patients in our Inpatient Unit
