Lombok & Gili Islands Earthquake

On Sunday 5th August, Northern and Eastern regions of Lombok and the the Gili Islands were directly hit by a 7.0 earthquake when they were already recovering from a 6.2 only a week before. Aftershocks are coming regularly. The damage to the area is extensive and a majority of locals are in temporary tented homes, with low supplies and very little help. 

Our friends Marta and Jo, can see first hand that they will need funds to help with many things from  food, water, temporary accommodation, baby milk, etc. This is even before any kind of rebuilding program can begin. There are many displaced families who have lost their income, homes and in some cases family members and friends. 

So I have set up this fund so we can send it exactly where it's needed. All funds raised will be sent directly to Marta and Jo who will help some of the hardest hit communities where their staff, family and friends are affected. 

This little corner of the world was home for us at one point in 2004/2005 and we owned property there for many years so know the area and many of the locals personally and they really need our help. So please, even if it's just £5, please donate what you can. Please ask your relatives, work colleagues and friends to donate.
