Kelly and Lola's Fight

Lola Sisler is a vibrant, brave 6-year old who can make just about anyone smile. On February 4th, 2015--World Cancer Day--she was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia. Those who know this special young lady also know her equally amazing mother Kelly.
Both Lola and her mom have actively supported the Cookies for Cancer charity for years. In fact, just within the last year, Lola (with the help of her mom) put on a bake sale to raise money for this organization, which provides annual research grants to advance the development of less toxic, more effective treatments for children battling cancer.
Kelly has always raised Lola to give to others, to work for what she wants, and to fight, fight, fight when the going gets tough. Most importantly, Kelly has shown Lola that she never has to fight alone--loving friends and family will always be there with her.
Lola will be at Rady's Children Hospital for at least a month to start, and I know that we all want to support Kelly and Lola during this trying time. You can leave your prayers and well wishes and get updates on Lola by searching Lola's name at www.caringbridge.org. When Kelly gets to bring Lola home from the hospital, certainly we'll be right there if these ladies have additional needs. At this time, we can at least ease some of the expense of medical bills and other costs associated with Lola's illness so that Kelly has one less worry as she stays at Lola's side to fight.
