Lola Sophia Filomena Robbins

Hi, This is Christopher Robbins.

This is difficult for me to reach out to all of you, but it's something I need to do.

My brother Micah Robbins and his wife Nicole were blessed with the birth of a daughter on July 31st. She is the first girl born in this generation's Robbins family, and we were excited about her arrival. My wife and I were ecstatic to see them last week a couple of days before she was born. I got to say hello to Lola in Nicole's belly. When she was born, she had significant complications that affected her lungs and may also affect other organs and parts of her body. She was emergency transported from Jupiter Medical Center to the Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami and is currently in the PICU. Lola Sophia is in the PICU because that is where the most critical infants recieve life support. She will, unfortunately remain there until she is able to be upgraded to the NICU. This is going to be many weeks from now, and has a very long fight and recovery ahead. This also means that Micah and Nicole need to be in the hospital during this time to be there for their daughter. This means Micah will be unable to work for the immediate future, and even though they have insurance, they are going to be incurring thousands of dollars in costs over the next few months. I can't imagine what they are going through. To help alleviate some of the financial stress they are now forced to incur, I am asking for your help.

Those of you that know Micah know he has dedicated his professional and personal life to the enrichment of kids and at-risk youth in both Florida and Maine for almost 30 years. It's ironic that a couple that has given so much to children who need help, now need help with their own child.

Please give what you can. Say a prayer. Hug one another and send good thoughts. We hope Baby Lola will be home soon with Micah and Nicole and her big brother River, who is so excited to be with his sister.
