Hi everyone! This is my sweet 6 month old kitten, Loki. He was just diagnosed with wet-FIP, which is considered an incurable and fatal disease. This illness acts fast and comes out of nowhere, so I want to get him started on his treatment ASAP. Otherwise, he only has a few weeks left. FIP stands for Feline Infectious Peritonitis, which is a type of coronavirus. I learned that all cats have a coronavirus, but when it mutates and attacks the white blood cells, it becomes FIP and deadly.
Unfortunately, it isn’t something insurance or CareCredit will cover. The treatment has a 90% success rate, but it isn't FDA Approved…seems to be a money issue with a drug company. Sad that stingy drug companies can affect the lives of so many sick cats. But I’m determined to give Loki the chance at life he deserves! He’s so little and young. All funds will go to his initial vet bills and to the cost of the treatment. If there’s any extra, I will donate it to help other cats with FIP/FIP research! Will you please help us?
