Logan Willamson needs our help

Logan Willamson... A truly valued family member and friend, is in some serious need of all of our help... Even if you can only spare a dollar.

About 6 months ago Logan woke up one morning, unable to feel his legs or arms. It was like when your foot falls asleep, but normally after a few moments that horrible feeling goes away. With Logan it was not going away. He was rushed to the hospital where they started running test. Over the last 6 months he has been hospitalized several times, and had very invasive testing done, as well as plasma infusions, steroids, and finally a spinal tap. Thing got so bad he could not walk, dress or bathe himself, or eat on his own.

After several months of not knowing what was wrong, and hearing some of the scariest thoughts from the doctors of what it could be and mean... We finally received the results for the spinal tap. He has been diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis. Which is where a lesion was located on his spine in the neck area from the C1 to the C6 vertebrae. It is not something that can be healed. Stress makes it grow and debilitates him for weeks on end to a paralyzed state. It could also lead to death.

This year, Logan and his fiance Amber got engaged. After years of trails and heart breaks.. he finally found the most wonderful woman alive. Amber has been by Logan's side non-stop, helping him make it through the days and nights. She has taken on two jobs to support them, as well she is his primary care taker. Logan also has an amazing job as a lead project manager, to a construction company, KDH builders and Jenuane Communities. His company is working with him to keep him employed and to retain his insurance. Unfortunately, when he has a flare he is unable to work, or move. He has a good week then the next is paralyzed again. Each flare, last from 7-10 days. He is unable to move on his own, or even get out of bed. They are managing his disease with several medications.

To know Logan you know how hard it is on him not to be able to provide for himself or do for others. This adds to his stress, in which causes more flares. He is not one to ask for help, which causes more stress and flares. As hard as they both are working and trying, it is just not enough to keep up with medical expenses and everyday cost of living. Please find it in your heart to give to Logan and Amber to help them take care of their every day needs by donating to them and showing your love and support. This is how each of us can help him heal, by taking away a little of the everyday stress so he can manage his personal well being.

This is Logan's new way of living. Best possible outcome is to manage the size of lesion and for it not to continue to grow. At this time we do not know what caused his Transverse Myelitis, and we are all still looking for answers. Your donation, and love though can and will help it from growing and causing more damage. Thank you for your time, energy and donations. Together we can all make a difference.
