Logan's Service Dog

Donation protected

Meet Logan McCartney.  A 17 year old young man learning to manage and cope with severe bouts of depression, anxiety, and ADHD.  Logan is a fun loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, cousin, friend, and student.  He is very bright, and stands out amongst his peers when it comes to academic ability.  Unforntunately, Logan suffers from severe depression that is caused by extreme day to day stress and anxiety, which has lead to more frequent self harming behaviors.

As intelligent and bright as Logan is, school has become exceptionally difficult for him.  He struggles with managing his anxiety and stress, which makes it difficult to experience life and school like a typical teenager.  At times, Logan has resorted to self harming behaviors in an attempt to numb his emotional pain. In consequence, Logan has been admitted to the Hospital to help overcome these potentially life ending behaviors.

Logan understands how serious these behaviors are, and wants to overcome these obstacles.  He is self aware and willing to put in the work, but he currently needs more assistance and support than he and his family can currently give.  Logan has come up with his own solution.

Logan has spent time researching and problem solving his condition.  He strongly believes that he can overcome and avoid his self harming behaviors and his bouts of stress, anxiety, and depression with the help of a Therapy Service Dog.  He has looked into the cost of service animals, the amount of training they need and associated costs, and is committed to finding a way to afford this animal.

Through his own research, Logan has found that dogs can be trained to sense an increased level of anxiety, stress, and depression.  Additionally, therapy dogs can be trained to identify his self harming behaviors, and prevent them from occuring.

As Logan works and saves his own money, please help him reach his vision of buying and training a Therapy Service Dog by donating to his cause.  In the process, you'll be helping him live a life that is long and free from emotional pain. Thank you for your continued support and concern.
